Tipu Sultan invited Persian artisans to train the local artisans, blending Persian techniques with local expertise. This fusion resulted in the unique style of Channapatna toys, characterized by their vibrant colors, smooth finish, and intricate designs. The Craftsmanship of Channapatna Toys

Once the basic shape is achieved, the toys undergo meticulous sanding to create a smooth surface. They are then dipped in lac, a natural resin obtained from the secretion of lac insects. This process, known as lacquering, not only gives the toys their glossy finish but also ensures their safety. The final step involves painting the toys with natural dyes derived from vegetable and mineral sources, making them safe for children
